In 2007 mother and daughter, Susan and Kendall Plank created Dec My Room in Houston Texas.This unique charity decorates the rooms of children who have to be in the hospital long term “Creating A Healing Place”. Their goal is to transform their hospital room into a cozier, personalized Healing Place with the things that they will find comfort in during their stay and take everything home when they leave.
This innovated charity has grown across the country to 14 chapters, over 30 pediatric hospitals and thousands of dedicated volunteers. Check it out at www.decmyroom.org .
