Dr. Shannon Bongers is my mother. She is a single, working mother of 2 adopted kids. Both of whom are about to graduate from high school. She has had to battle ovarian cancer twice in the past 3 years, and came out stronger. She is also a breast cancer surgeon at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, Mi.
