Nadia "Nina" Swanson is the most incredible woman I've ever known. She has 2 adult kids and 5 grandchildren. 1 of which has autism and has special needs. She not only provides loving grandma support to him but she is also his personal support caregiver. She's patient, soft spoken, never judges anyone, will go out of her way to ensure everyone has everything they need before she does.
In 2015, Nina cared for her dying mother, taking time off of work and providing round the clock hospice care.
In 2017, just 2 years later almost to the day, Nina lost her beloved fiance of 16 years suddenly a freak accident. But with all her strength she picked herself up and kept going, showing us all the strength of her amazing heart. She is always there to comfort and confide in. She is absolutely incredible.
Nina currently works as an educator's assistant for special needs teens in her school district. Nina has had a lifelong career helping adults and kids with special needs. Everyone that meets her falls in love with her. She is empathetic, kind, generous and has the world's biggest heart. I cannot even begin to describe how incredible she is, there aren't enough words in the english language to express this. Even animals fall in love with her, we have a cardinal that always comes out to chirp at her when he sees her. She is truly like a disney story in real life. She's my hero. She's everyone's hero.
