Jennifer deserves to be nominated because she is a wonderful, genuine person. She lives her life thinking of others, whether it be her children, friends or even strangers she has never met before. She cares for everyone like they are her own family. Jennifer works outside of the home, studies Computer Science full-time with a 4.0 GPA, had volunteered with Alzheimer's patients, is a wife and mother to her cherished children, created and manages a living donor search page on behalf of her husband, and recently, she saved someone's life. This is why I am nominating her.
On September 4th, 2018, a Food Lion shopper had a massive heart attack in the parking lot. Other patrons stopped his vehicle and tried to pull him from his SUV, but he was a very large man. They were only able to get him halfway out. Jennifer had just pulled up and was walking to the door. She saw the commotion and heard yelling. She saw him hanging out of the vehicle and ran over to see how she could help. A bystander was on the phone with 911 and the operator asked her to ask if anyone knew CPR. Jennifer immediately jumped in, pulling up his shirt and starting compressions/breaths. She continued the grueling physical work until first responders took over. After 10 minutes, they were able to restart his heart. Jennifer knew the importance of prompt CPR and was later thanked by the Lillington Fire Department for initiating compressions. If she had not started CPR, they would have had next to no chance of revival.
Jennifer is a selfless person who cares most about those around her. She is always willing to sacrifice herself to make sure those around her are taken care of.
