Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago. She is 8 weeks into her chemo treatment and not feeling great. Despite her horrible chemo side affects, Amanda makes an amazing effort to still help her community in many ways. One of these ways is collecting recycling around town and taking it upon her self to travel weekly 45 miles away to drop it off. Today she found the recycling drop off was closed, so she drove around town for an hour to find another one. She never asks for anything, and just wants to help others. She’s such an amazing and caring person to people, animals, and earth. I’m nominating her for an awesome award.
